Privacy Policy

Last updated June 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Wilsonconsulting.co LLC, doing business as The Scoop ("The Scoop," "we," "us"), handles information when you use thescoop.guide. The short version: you do not need an account, we collect only what we need to run and improve the site, we use a couple of analytics tools, we do not run ads, and we never sell your personal information.

Who we are

Wilsonconsulting.co LLC (dba The Scoop)
2850 Joyce St., Golden, CO 80401
hello@thescoop.guide

Information we collect

We do not require accounts, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information to browse.

How we use information

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not run third-party ad networks on the site, and we do not build advertising profiles of you. Where call tracking is used, it measures call volume for a partner business and is disclosed to that business; it is not used to build a profile of you.

How information is shared

We share limited information only with service providers that help us run the site, under their own terms: our analytics providers (Google Analytics 4 and PostHog), our hosting and content-delivery provider, and the provider that stores contact-form submissions. We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of The Scoop, our users, or the public. If the business is ever sold or transferred, information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of analytics cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for the details and how to decline them. The site works fully without them.

Data retention

We keep analytics data only as long as needed for the purposes above, subject to our providers' standard retention settings, and we keep contact-form messages as long as needed to handle your inquiry and our records.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the US state you live in (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, the Colorado Privacy Act, or similar laws in Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and other states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising, which in our case is already not something we do. To make a request, email hello@thescoop.guide or contact us, and we will honor it as required by applicable law, including through our analytics providers' deletion tools. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights, and you may use an authorized agent to make a request. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider.

Global Privacy Control

Where applicable, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out request. You can also decline analytics cookies through your browser or an ad blocker, and use Google's analytics opt-out tools.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect information, but no website or method of transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party links

The site links to third-party websites, such as business websites and booking pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies before sharing information with them.

Where we operate

The Scoop is a United States business, and the site is intended for users in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the current revision. If we make a material change, we will note it on this page.
